GROVETOWN, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A Grovetown Middle School student has been charged after making threats against the school, according to the Columbia County School District.

Parents were told about the case in a letter on Thursday.

After a sixth-grader “made comments of a threatening nature against the school,” administrators were notified and immediately contacted Columbia County School District police, parents were told.

“Following further investigation, the student has been criminally charged and is also being held accountable under the Code of Conduct,” parents were told.
