A Schenectady man was arrested Thursday in connection with an altercation involving a Saratoga Black Lives Matter activist.

Waldo Evora is accused of hitting the person and putting his hands around the person’s neck, Schenectady Police said. Evora was charged with misdemeanor obstruction of breathing and misdemeanor harassment.

Schenectady Police confirmed the arrest stemmed from same incident as Lexis Figuereo, who is accused of pointing a gun at a person during an argument. Figuereo was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and menacing.

Figuereo’s attorney previously told NewsChannel 13 that he and his partner were assaulted and injured during this incident.
