WASHINGTON, November 21. /TASS/. Transactions with Gazprombank related to the Sakhalin-2 projects will not be covered by US restrictions until June 28 next year, with the relevant license posted on the US Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) website.

In June 2024, deliveries of crude oil from the Sakhalin-2 project to Japan were exempted from the price cap until June 28, 2025.

The US Treasury has updated this license by adding a new paragraph, whereby all transactions related to Gazprombank or any entity in which Gazprombank owns 50% or more, directly or indirectly, and related to the Sakhalin-2 project are permitted until June 28, 2025.

The United States today introduced sanctions against Gazprombank.
