How Michigan voters can find their polling place

Tuesday, November 5, 2024, is election day. Polling stations open at 7 am and close at 8 pm

Need help finding your polling place? We’ve got you covered:

How to find your polling place

At each polling station on election day, election inspectors will be available to assist voters and conduct the election.

It is important to look for your local polling station on election day, just in case it has not moved to another location.

Visit Michigan Voter Information Center to find your polling place.

Before going to the polls, voters should remember to look up their registration status to make sure it’s current.

Do you need to register to vote?

Voters must register to vote in person at the clerk’s office or satellite office and provide proof of residency documentation within 14 days of the election.

You will be asked for photo ID if you register to vote in person. Don’t have one? You can sign an affidavit and then register to vote.

Acceptable forms of photo ID include the following:

  • Driver’s license or state ID card issued by Michigan or another state

  • Federal, state, county or local photo ID

  • American passport

  • Military photo ID card

  • Student photo ID card from an educational institution

  • Tribal photo ID card

  • Local or county government ID

  • Concealed Handgun License

Voters who are in line by 8:00 PM on Election Day have the right to register to vote in person at their local office.
