MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – Riley County police have arrested a man in connection with a drug overdose death in Manhattan, officials said.

Caziah Self, 23, of Ellsworth, was arrested around noon Wednesday in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road in Manhattan.

Self was being held on $100,000 bond in the Riley County Jail following his arrest in connection with distribution of a controlled substance causing death; use of a communication facility in the commission of a drug offence; and opiate-opium-stimulant-heroin distribution.

The arrest stems from an incident in June 2023 in which law enforcement investigated the overdose death of a 25-year-old Manhattan man.

The investigation into this overdose and all other fentanyl-related overdoses remains active and ongoing, Riley County police officials said. Anyone with relevant information can call law enforcement.
