The defendant, who lives near an elementary school, was charged with 86 sex crimes against minors, according to a court filing.

A Hatfield man was arraigned on 50 felonies and 36 misdemeanors in connection with the alleged rape of a minor in Lower Providence Township in June and jailed on $500,000 bail.

Resul Mustafa Ozdemir, 26, of the 1000 block of Pinegrove Avenue, Hatfield Township, was charged with five felonies each of the following: rape by forcible compulsion, rape by threat of forcible compulsion, rape of a child, involuntary sexual violence . sexual intercourse by forcible compulsion, involuntary sexual intercourse by threat of coercive force and involuntary sexual intercourse with a child, according to the criminal record.

Ozdemir was also charged with four felony counts each of aggravated indecent assault on a child, aggravated indecent assault without consent, aggravated indecent assault by forcible coercion, and aggravated indecent assault by threat of coercion forced, according to court records.

Ozdemir is additionally charged with six felony counts each of indecent assault by forcible coercion and custodial assault by threat of forcible coercion, as well as 12 felony counts each of custodial assault on a person over the age of 13-year-old and assault in prison without the consent of the other person, according to the file.

Pinegrove Avenue is next to Oak Park Elementary School and across the border with Lansdale Borough.

Ozdemir, who was remanded to the Montgomery County Jail, is awaiting a preliminary hearing Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. before U.S. District Judge Cathleen Kelly Rebar, according to court documents.
