A New Jersey man who co-owned a gymnastics and tumbling center was arrested last weekend after allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage girl, according to reports. Galloway Township Police Department.

Officers said they received a report that an adult male, identified as Matthew A. Shriver, was engaging in sexual activity with a 16-year-old girl.

Investigators found cellphone evidence that corroborated statements made by the victim, police said. This discovery led to searches of the 51-year-old’s mobile phone, personal vehicle and place of business known as Everest Gymnastics and Tumbling Centre in the township of Galloway.

Officials said more evidence was found after those searches were conducted.

Shriver, of Brigantine, was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and other related charges.

He was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Center and will remain there until his first court date.

Everest Gymnastics and Tumbling Centre they accessed their Facebook to alert his community that Shriver is no longer operating there. The post also says it won’t have access to the facility.

The post goes on to say that the “sole owner” of the gym is Jennifer Jones and the rest of the staff “have nothing but the best interests of the children at heart.”
