Police arrest two men caught doing drug deals in Fort Walton Beach club parking lot

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. — Police arrested two men last Wednesday after they were caught making a drug deal in the parking lot of a Fort Walton Beach nightclub, according to police.

The Fort Walton Beach Police Department says officers were notified of a possible drug deal at The Block nightclub. Police saw Mitchell McNabb, 33, of Fort Walton Beach, standing next to the vehicle of Kareem Mitry, 31, of Freeport.

According to police, officers learned that McNabb and Mitry were seen exchanging items and a large amount of cash. Mitry’s car was searched and police found more than $17,000 and 358 grams of fentanyl pills.

“The fentanyl seized in this case was turned into counterfeit pills designed to look like oxycodone,” police say.

McNabb and Mitry were charged with trafficking more than 28 grams of fentanyl. If he will be convicted. they are to serve a mandatory minimum sentence of 25 years. Both are being held at the Okaloosa County Jail without bond.
