LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) – Police in Lynchburg are looking for the person responsible for a convenience store robbery Monday night.

Police were responding to a call around 11:30 p.m. Nov. 18 in the 2000 block of 12th Street when a person approached officers and reported an armed robbery at the Dash Food Mart.

Responding officers reviewed security footage from inside the Dash Food Mart, which confirmed an armed robbery, according to police, but due to the quality of the video, investigators were unable to get clear details about the robber’s appearance.

Witnesses describe the robber as a tall man, dressed entirely in black clothing and wearing a face mask.

Police say their emergency communications department did not receive a call reporting this incident.
