Ellis Club helps find ‘Missing Peace’ with $10,000 donation to anti-trafficking group

ELLISVILLE, Miss. (WDAM) – An Ellisville social club is making a generous donation to a local non-profit that helps survivors of human trafficking.

The Ellis Club held a fundraiser earlier this year to help a local group in need.

Members recently voted to donate the $10,000 raised to Missing Peace Ministries. The ministry provides housing and support to women emerging from human trafficking situations.

Organizers with the Ellis Club said this donation was their way of paying it forward.

“We were able to hear from some of the women who actually went through the Missing Peace organization,” said Ellis Club President Ashli Hernandez. “They provide counseling and just set women up for success and put them back into society. I think as a women’s organization that really resonated with us. So we’re just thrilled to be able to help them.”

The Ellis Club has made annual donations to local organizations every year since opening in 2018.
