A teenager has been charged in the attempted murder of a 15-year-old boy in Elgin.

Police have confirmed that a 16-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder on the High Street on Saturday 16 November.

He is due to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court on Tuesday, November 19.

A statement from Police Scotland said: “A 16-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a 15-year-old boy in High Street, Elgin, on Saturday 16 November 2024.

“He is due to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court on Tuesday 19 November 2024.

“A report will be submitted to the fiscal prosecutor.”
