Man accepts plea deal for involvement in brutal fight in downtown Fargo

FARGO, ND (Valley News Live) – A man accused of being part of a brutal fight in downtown Fargo has taken a plea deal.

Travice Ledoux was charged with aggravated assault and accessory to aggravated assault. The first charge was dismissed and the accessory charge was reduced to a misdemeanor.

He was given credit for time already served in jail since his arrest in April and was sentenced to 2 years of supervised probation.

Fargo Police responded to a fight in the 600 block of NP Avenue North on April 6, 2024. The victim told officers he saw an assault in progress and approached the group to break up the fight. According to court records, several others joined the fight.

Documents say one man suffered a broken nose, multiple broken bones, needed surgery to place a titanium plate in his forehead and also had slurred speech, requiring speech therapy. The other man lost consciousness, had a broken tooth, bruises and pain all over his body.

LeDoux was arrested on April 21 as police worked to round up all the suspects involved. Five more were eventually arrested and charged with the beating: Angelica Hernandez, Sergio Ganados, Terrell Smith, Esiquio Hernandez and John Hernandez.

In October, Angelica Hernandez pleaded guilty to being an accessory to aggravated assault, which was downgraded from a felony to a misdemeanor charge. She has 2 years of supervised probation.

Esiquio Hernandez is charged with robbery, aggravated assault and accessory to aggravated assault. He has pleaded not guilty and is due back in court in December.

John Hernandez and Terrell Smith are each charged with aggravated assault and accessory to aggravated assault. Hernandez is scheduled to return to court in December and Smith next spring.
