NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has released the name of a man who was found dead last month.

William “Billy” Blauth, 75, of North Charleston, was found dead in a ditch outside his home in the area of ​​Ridgeway and Cherokee streets.

Blauth was found on Oct. 24 lying on his back in the ditch around 11:45 a.m. A police report stated that he was clearly deceased.

The medical examiner’s office says the investigation into his death is ongoing, and as such, the cause and manner of his death are still pending.

This case remains under investigation by the North Charleston Police Department.
