KTR urges Rahul Gandhi to act on Lagarcharla incident and police brutality by Revanth Reddy governors – Telangana News

KT Rama Rao (KTR), former Telangana minister and son of former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, directed his harshest criticism at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

While addressing the media on the alleged atrocities committed by the Revanth Reddy-led government in Telangana against tribal women, farmers and marginalized communities, KTR accused Gandhi of turning a blind eye to the alleged oppression in the state.

Addressing the media in Delhi, he said, “I have come to Delhi to reveal the truth about the suffering of tribal women and farmers in Telangana.”

Turning his attention to Rahul Gandhi, KTR questioned his silence on the issue. “Rahul Gandhi often talks about the welfare of farmers, BC, Dalits and tribals, but he did not talk about the suffering of tribal women in Revanth Reddy’s constituency, Kodangal,” KTR said. He pointed out the contradiction between Gandhi’s promises for the welfare of the poor and his lack of action on the oppression going on in Telangana.

“Rahul Gandhi talks about Bharat Jodo, but what about tribal women who are being torn apart in his own party-ruled state? Where is the so-called moral compass of the Congress now?” asked KTR, accusing Gandhi of hypocrisy and selective activism.

He also accused the Congress of not standing with tribals and farmers in the state, questioning why Rahul Gandhi did not raise his voice against police brutality and illegal land grabs orchestrated by the Telangana government. KTR asked Rahul Gandhi to take action and present Revanth Reddy to address the issue, saying, “If Rahul Gandhi is truly committed to the welfare of the poor, he should step in and stop these atrocities.”
