MOSCOW. November 18 (Interfax) – Ukrainian border crossings between November 9 and 16 decreased by 11.2 percent to 452,000 from 509,000 a week earlier, Ukrainian media outlets said, citing data from the State Border Service published on social networks.

The number of border crossing points in Ukraine fell by 10.2% to 229,000 week-on-week, while the number of border crossing points in the country fell by 12.2% to 223,000, it shows in the statement.

In terms of the flow distribution by day of the week, as the Border Service said, the number of vehicles leaving the country was highest on Friday and Saturday, while the number of vehicles entering the country was highest saturday and sunday.

A total of 119,000 passed checkpoints between November 9-16, the same as the previous week, while the number of vehicles carrying humanitarian goods rose to 575 from 530 weekly.

According to updated statistics from the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the number of Ukrainian refugees was estimated at 6.192 million in Europe and 6.752 million worldwide as of October 15 this year, which is 38,000 and respectively , 27,000 in comparison. to the figures published on September 24 of the current year.

The latest UN statistics from August 2024 showed that there were 3.669 million internally displaced people in Ukraine, which is 121,000 more than in April this year.
