Mobile man gets 77-month federal prison sentence for fentanyl trafficking, assault on federal officer

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A federal judge recently sentenced a Mobile man to nearly six and a half years in prison for trafficking fentanyl and assaulting a federal law enforcement officer, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Alabama announced Friday.

U.S. District Court Judge William H. Steele on Oct. 29 imposed a 77-month sentence on the 27-year-old. Christopher Teague on the two charges.

He pleaded guilty to the charges.

Court documents showed that from about July to December 2023, Teague conspired with others to distribute fentanyl throughout the Mobile area. While attempting to flee law enforcement, Teague rammed his vehicle head-on into an FBI vehicle containing two special agents and a task force officer.

After his prison sentence, Teague will serve five years of supervised release.

Teague had been the subject of a FOX10 Fugitive Files episode in November 2023 in connection with a shooting.
