Bonnie Blue teams up with sexual health organization

Australia’s largest online sexual health Stigma Health is calling on sex workers and adult entertainers to help stop the spread of gonorrhea during school. One of their recruits? Controversial star OnlyFans Bonnie Blue.

According to the National Communicable Disease Surveillance Report from July to October 2024, Australia is experiencing an increase in gonorrhea cases, putting the country at a rate 33% higher than the five-year average.

Stigma Health Co-Founder James Sneddon reckon those numbers are likely to rise as we head into the silly season.

“STIs tend to increase because this time of year is synonymous with celebration and spontaneity. People are more likely to engage in casual sex, fueled by a mix of social freedom and lower inhibitions,” he tells PEDESTRIAN.TV.

“A lesser known aspect may be that although people are socialised, it can also feel like a lonely time of year and some people are looking for connection – sex can be that comfort. It can also happen because people think they have to go out of their way to go and see a doctor to get tested.”

In an effort to get the message out about safe sex as more people get ready to get fucked, Stigma Health is taking a different approach by going straight to sex workers and adult entertainers – including Bonnie and Annie Knight — to emphasize how important (and sexy!) it is to prioritize sexual health.

“Sex workers and adult entertainers are incredible ambassadors for promoting testing services because they embody professionalism and responsibility in sexual health,” continued James.

“Annie, Bonnie and Coco Baewhich are just a few of the OnlyFans creators I’ve worked with to date, they understand the importance of regular testing better than most because it’s critical to their work and safety.

“Beyond that, they help break down societal stigmas around sex and testing. Normalizing conversations about sexual health is key to increasing testing rates.”

This is an initiative that controversial sex worker Bonnie Blue has put her platform behind.

“I know it’s not the most glamorous conversation, but with school kids on the horizon, it’s perfect timing,” Bonnie said in an Instagram video.

“STI testing should always come before pleasure. It is non-negotiable mine and it should be yours too.”

No matter what you think of Bonnie and Schoolies’ antics, you have to admit it’s great that she’s using her platform to encourage her audience — young men — to stay safe and get tested. After all, STI testing is so incredibly important, and if you’re sexually active, you should be getting tested regularly and using protection to keep yourself and others safe.

Either make an appointment with your local doctor for an STI screening or use an online service like Stigma Healththere are lots of ways to do the right thing.
