Diddy used other inmates’ phone accounts to contact witnesses, prosecutors say

Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently in prison after being custody for sex trafficking and racketeering. Last month, it was denied bailhim too DEPOSIT an appeal claiming that concerns about witness tampering were unfounded. Since then, he has been hit with even more lawsuits alleging abuse and sexual abuseand is currently awaiting another hearing to decide whether he will be granted bail. Now, in documents filed Friday, prosecutors have accused Diddy of “relentless efforts” to contact those potential witnesses, using the phone privileges of other inmates.

Prosecutors say Combs “demonstrated an uncanny ability to get others to do his bidding — MDC employees, family members and inmates alike” by making unauthorized three-way calls to contact members of his “criminal enterprise.” Combs also allegedly bribed other inmates with money to use their phone accounts. While details about the recipients and the conversations were redacted in the court filing, prosecutors said the calls were evidence of Combs’ “obstructive efforts.”
