This was reported by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko on Telegramaccording to Ukrinform.

According to Klymenko, Russian forces tried to storm the position held by border guards in Kramatorsk with two infantry units. The assault began after the preparation of heavy artillery with 120 mm mortars. Under cover of fire and supported by two IFVs, the enemy launched a frontal and left flank attack.

“Militians of the State Border Service engaged in an intense battle that lasted more than two hours,” Klymenko noted.

With the help of aerial reconnaissance and support from nearby positions, the border guards were able to destroy two IFVs and eliminate 12 Russian soldiers, while capturing two more prisoners.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, near Vovchansk, border guards used drones to strike Russian positions and destroy military equipment.
