I’m a Favorite Celebrity Almost Missed the ITV Show Spot | TV & Radio | Showbiz and TV

Lorraine reacts to Coleen Rooney’s celebrity tax rumours

Danny Jones, the front man for this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! he almost missed his chance to enter the jungle after misplacing his passport moments before he was scheduled to leave.

In flurries of preparation for a move, the McFly sensation was convinced his passport had ended up in one of the sealed boxes. The search became frantic, causing disturbances at home and delaying his trip to the recording studio as his flight drew closer.

The show’s recent recruit shared, “Leaving the house was one of the most stressful mornings of my life.” He detailed the high-voltage departure, revealing: “Because one: I’m leaving. I didn’t know I was doing a show, right? Until, almost at the last moment. My wife has to move. I’ve been, I’ve done this, I’ve had my 21st birthday, I’ve been on tour for two years in a row,” he reports mirror.

Danny, also known for his role as a coach on The Voice, added: “I’ve just got The Voice. It’s been a great year and I’m moving home. I’m going to relax and enjoy Christmas. But no, there were different plans. So leaving the house was pretty stressful now I go to the airport and I can’t find my passport!

After he finally left, Danny reflected: “So I was literally like, it was such a quick goodbye, I felt like I didn’t really say goodbye. But in a way, I see that as a bit of a positive, because it wasn’t that long, you know, that long and like, I don’t know when I’m going to see it again.”

“He was like, ‘I’ve got to go check the car at the studio, check this place, you know. I need to find my passport. So that’s why you can see that shocking picture of me heading to the airport looking messy.”

He couldn’t help but laugh as he recounted, “Well, here’s the thing: I already packed it in my bag! I was already ready, man. So that’s me, like I went to the drawer where I thought it was, I wasn’t. I didn’t panic and obviously because we’re moving, I’m emptying every box I’ve packed in the last few weeks.

Continuing his story of forgetting, he said: “And I went to the studio because I parked my car there and I was like, it’s not in my car. I had to go back home and then as I was checking my bag, I was going to the airport, she was standing there looking at me, I said to my wife, “Honey, I found it last week and I forgot about that’s what I forgot about it.”

Danny has been a key member of pop-rock band McFly since its inception in the early 2000s alongside Tom Fletcher, Harry Judd and Dougie Poynter, who won the title of King of the Jungle in 2011.

ITV audiences were delighted to see Danny triumph in The Masked Singer earlier this year, and he melted hearts by posting an adorable video capturing the moment his six-year-old son Cooper discovered that ‘Piranha ”, which he was watching on TV, was actually his own father.

Danny, visibly moved and on the verge of tears, spoke of the difficulty of leaving his wife and son, saying: “I couldn’t tell her. It was a bit like The Masked Singer. As we were leaving, I was like, “Dad’s leaving for a few weeks,” but when it was announced, I’m sure he’ll find out now, but I said, “You’re going on an adventure with mommy, and you’re going to be a good boy “I’ve never been away this long.”

“Normally we have a two-week thing where if it’s more than two weeks, you have to come say hi. I mean, FaceTime obviously helps, but that was taken away, all my communication was taken away. And it’s not just while you’re in the jungle, it’s also during this lockdown that I’m in for a week now, so all in all it’s going to be, you know, a little over a month.

“It’s hard and you have time to yourself and I’m a big thinker – a big over-thinker – so it’s a real challenge. But I wear my emotions on my sleeve and I’m definitely 100 years old. percent will be so overexcited and excited to see the ones I love the most walking towards me, I think it would be a special moment and I’m not afraid to show my emotions either.”

He also confessed that it might be hard for him in the camp to face the trials and be with nine strangers. Despite his longtime status as a pop star, he’s more at home on stage with his band than facing the challenges of camp soloing.

He confessed: “It’s a scary place. Not only are you limited to what you eat, but I’m there with a lot of strangers. I’m vulnerable. And because I can’t hide behind… see, everything I’ve done In the past, I feel like I’m protected, you know, if I have my guitar or if I’m singing, I always have something to not hide behind, but to protect me.”

“I’m more comfortable singing than talking. I’m more comfortable singing in front of the O2 Arena than doing an interview. It’s just how I’m wired. So I’m going to be vulnerable and that scared me But I’m going to do my best and I don’t know, maybe I’ll have a switch, like survival mode, but maybe I won’t. It’ll be an absolute badass. We’ll see.

Danny currently leads the pack as the bookies’ favorite to win. His affable nature, his role in a hugely popular band and his wins on two prime-time ITV series this year – The Voice and The Masked Singer – make him a strong contender.

Asked about the prospect of being crowned king of the jungle on I’m A Celebrity, he replied: ‘I can’t even imagine what it would be like to win the jungle. I think why it would probably mean so much is that even though I can look very confident, we have insecurities and we’re fragile as human beings, I’ve never been there as myself in such a vulnerable state.

“And I think just having the approval of the British public and people that… oh, you really like me or whatever, it’s quite nice to know that and I think that would just be the icing on the cake. And if I won It, I would 100 percent definitely get a brand new crown and staff tattoo somewhere on my body to absolutely represent it.”

He continued: “I’ve got The Masked Singer under my belt, I’ve got The Voice under my belt – I’m going for the Treble. I’m going for Pep Guardiola! And I know I will do my best. All you can do is all you can do, and I’m going to do my best to impress you guys, impress my son, and impress my fellow campers.”

I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here! returns to ITV1 and ITVX at 9pm on Sunday 17 November
