A man has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a disturbance in Glasgow city centre.

Emergency crews rushed to Buchanan Street at around 5am on Saturday (November 16) and the 37-year-old man was taken to the Royal Infirmary.

Police confirm they are carrying out inquiries into the incident and are appealing to the public for information.

A spokesman for the force said: “At around 5am on Saturday 16 November 2024 we were called to reports of a disturbance in Buchanan Street, Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended and a 37-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment for serious injuries.

“Extensive investigations are underway.

“Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting incident 0641 of Saturday 16 November 2024.”
