WITCHER CREEK, W.Va. — A woman is dead and the alleged hit-and-run driver is in custody after a collision Friday night in eastern Kanawha County.

Deputies said Becky Lynn Martin, 42, of Belle, was struck while walking on Witcher Creek Road around 6 p.m. A 41-year-old man who was walking with her was not seriously injured.

Deputies began searching the vehicle. They found and charged Keisha Miller, 33, of Belle, with felony DUI causing death, felony leaving the scene of an accident causing death, felony DUI causing bodily injury and felony leaving the scene of an accident that caused bodily harm.

An investigation is underway.
