PIEDMONT, Mo. (KFVS) – A Piedmont man has been arrested on various charges involving a minor victim.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Drug and Crime Enforcement Division. Wesley K. Shatley, 29, of Piedmont was arrested on Friday, November 15th.

Shatley was arrested for furnishing pornography to a minor, harassment, endangering the welfare of a child and sexual misconduct involving a child.

The arrest was made following an investigation by members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Drug and Crime Enforcement Division. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.

According to the Highway Patrol, on Tuesday, November 12, the DDCC was requested to assist the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office with an alleged sex crime involving a 15-year-old juvenile victim.

Evidence obtained during the investigation revealed that Shatley electronically sent pornographic images to the minor victim and attempted to arrange a meeting with the minor at a residence.

An affidavit of probable cause seeking an arrest warrant has been forwarded to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

On Thursday, Nov. 14, the Wayne County District Attorney formally charged Shatley with one count of furnishing pornography to a minor, one count of first-degree harassment, one count of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child and one count of sexual misconduct involving a child.

Shatley was arrested and is currently being held in the Wayne County Jail without bond.
