Another arrest made in connection with the burglary of the residence on Olive Street | News, Sports, Jobs

The Marshalltown Police Department (MPD) has made progress in an extensive investigation into several burglaries, including one at a home on Olive Street on August 14, and two Marshalltown brothers have been arrested.

MPD arrested 20-year-old Ashton Mason Clark and 23-year-old Hunter David Clark on Wednesday, Nov. 6. More arrests are expected as the investigation continues.

Ashton Mason Clark is charged with first-degree theft, a Class C felony; second-degree larceny and four counts of third-degree burglary, all class D felonies; and fifth-degree larceny, a misdemeanor. Hunter David Clark faces the same charges. A Class C felony carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine, and a Class D carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $7,500 fine.

Arrest warrants were also issued for their father, Giles Evan Richard Clark, 50, of Marshalltown, for the same investigation. He is wanted for first-degree theft; criminal possession of a firearm, a Class D felony; third degree burglary; and possession of burglary tools, aggravated misdemeanor. Search warrants were issued and executed for Giles Evan Richard Clark.
