On the evening of Thursday, Nov. 14, Norfolk police say they took a report of a sexual assault from a 14-year-old girl. The girl described in detail to a Norfolk police officer that on Wednesday, November 13, she was forced to have sex with Davis.

The press release indicates that someone contacted Davis by phone and agreed to meet the victim at a designated location. During the conversation, Davis made comments regarding the sexual assault of the 14-year-old girl.

A detective went to the scene of the encounter with the person who contacted Davis. When Davis arrived at the agreed upon location, the detective exited the vehicle. As soon as Davis saw the detective, he turned and started running.

Marked police units surrounded the area and took Davis into custody. Davis was initially housed in the Norfolk City Jail, but was later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
