What happened to Tarimo?

During an emotional interview with Ayo TV on YouTube, Tarimo thanked all Tanzanians who saw the clip, were moved by it and spoke loudly about it.

In the photos shared by Ayo TV, the man is seen being taken away by three men while fully clothed, but by the time they reach the car, he is holding his shirt.

One man jumped into the car and shot him from inside, while the two who remained outside were tasked with pushing him inside.

How did Tarimo escape?

“I’m going to die, please help me,” Tarimo cried. A small crowd gathered just across the street, but no one moved an inch to help.

Luckily, someone filmed the entire incident, and at one point, two kids happened to be walking by.

Despite it being a three-on-one affair, Tarimo managed to shake them off. Seeing that getting into the car was a herculean task, they took off while Tarimo ran for the nearest hills.

How is Tarimo doing?

“I am very safe, healthy and doing well. I also thank the police for their cooperation with me since the day of the incident and I believe they will get to the root of the problem,” he said.

“I pray to God to continue to protect us. I cannot speak so much because the case is under investigation,” he added.

What is Tarimo’s message to Tanzanians?

At the same time, Tarimo had a message for the onlookers who started helpless at the men trying to kidnap him and did not try to help him in any way.

“We are one, whenever one of us gets into such trouble we should help them because today it’s me and tomorrow it’s someone else,” he opined.

“I wouldn’t have fought so much if there was unity. Let’s create a culture of helping each other; you don’t even have to get into this issue fully, but you can at least ask what’s going on,” he said he. added.

After the ugly incident, Tarimo also thanked his family and friends for the outpouring of love.

“The only way out is for Kenyans to be their brothers’ keepers. When one cries for help, all should come together to stop the kidnapping,” he said.

Police in Kenya say 29 abductees are still missing

In another story, the inspector general of National Police Service Douglas Kanja applications rejected that officers are involved in kidnappings.

According to Kanja, a total of 57 cases of kidnapping have been reported to the NPS since the start of the Generation Z protests.

Kanjo revealed that 29 people among the abductees are still missing, but detectives are investigating the case.
