The Student Assembly unanimously passed a resolution Thursday to implement guidelines for campus-wide community recovery days in response to student deaths and sexual assault alerts.

Resolution 17 follows a string of campus tragedies over the past week, including a report of drugs and sexual assault at the home of Chi Phi, student found dead in Fall Creek Gorge and a student hospitalized after falling in the same area.

SA members have expressed their disappointment at what they consider an inadequate administrative response to these events, echo student discontent and calls for a ‘mental health day’.
