After the president-elect announced that he would nominate Kennedy, McCain he wrote“RFK will be HHS as a direct result of Democrats and Fauchi (sic) blatantly lying to the mothers of this country, putting our children second to adults and radicalizing them during COVID.”

During the Covid-19 pandemic, McCain was a vocal critical director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Dr. Anthony Fauciwho helped lead Trump’s White House coronavirus task force.

Despite previously supporting Fauci’s efforts, McCain continued CRITICAL the “cult of personality” and its handling of the pandemic in the United States.

Mr. Kennedy will return these agencies to the traditions of Gold Standard scientific research and beacons of transparency to end the chronic disease epidemic and make America great and healthy again!

Like McCain, Kennedy was critical to Fauci, while Fauci has described Kennedy as a “deeply disturbed individual.”

On Trump’s other controversial nominations this week, McCain had mixed reactions.
