Virgin Australia has assured members of its Velocity rewards program that they will still be able to book Singapore Airlines flights to Europe if the domestic carrier is successful in getting its partial sale to Qatar Airways approved.

Sydney Airport and the Australian Airports Association have raised concerns about reducing consumer choice as part of a public consultation process led by the competition regulator. In response, Virgin clarified that its loyalty members will still be able to book Singapore Airlines flights.
