A man was injured after being hit by a car near Frontier Park Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened just after 4:00 pm near West 6th Street and Frontier Drive.

According to Erie police, a 30-year-old man walked onto the road outside Frontier Park and was struck by an oncoming car along West 6th Street.

Both police and EmergyCare responded, an ambulance treating and transporting the victim.

Police said he was treated at a hospital for significant ankle injuries.
