(Brookville, Ind.) – A Brookville man is facing charges after allegedly forcing his way into a home and stealing about $8,000 in property.

Nickalus Pennington, 45, was arrested last Sunday and charged with one count of burglary and one count of resisting arrest.

The arrest stems from an investigation that began in January 2024 after a burglary was reported in the 6000 block of Pipe Creek Road.

Investigators say most of the property that was taken from the home turned out to be military equipment.

Physical evidence at the scene led to the development of Pennington as a suspect. An arrest warrant was obtained for his arrest earlier this month.

He is being held at the Franklin County Jail.
