KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A pedestrian was struck and killed on eastbound Interstate 435 at Wornall Road early Thursday morning. An investigation is underway.

Police were called to the scene at 6am on Thursday following an accident.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that a pedestrian had been struck and died at the scene.

The right lane of the highway was blocked while the investigation began.
