Man charged with theft, grand larceny before being attacked on football field at EWU homecoming game: JSO

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 44-year-old man has gone viral after running onto the football field during Edward Waters University’s homecoming game on Saturday.

It looked like it was a mistake or a prank at first as Daniel Kozlowski slowly started playing on the court and then started waving to the crowd.

It wasn’t a mistake though.

The video shows campus security attacker Kozlowski on the ground as the crowd looks on and gasps as Kozlowski falls.

The News4JAX sports team filmed Kozlowski being transported in handcuffs. At one point, he is seen trying to break free from their grip.

The game was briefly interrupted, but then resumed.

Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office records show that wasn’t the only crime Kozlowski allegedly committed on Nov. 9.

He is also charged with grand theft, breaking and entering at a local airport, in addition to assault on a first responder and disorderly conduct.

Kozlowski is in the Duval County Jail.
