A motorcycle crashed on Central Avenue in Colonie early Wednesday evening.

The accident happened near the intersection with Marjorie Road.

The lanes in that area were closed for a while, but have since reopened.

It is not yet clear what caused the crash or if anyone was injured.

This was at least the second crash on Central Avenue Wednesday.

A 72-year-old man was hit by a car near the Dunkin’ Donuts on King Avenue earlier in the day.

All of this comes on the same night that a meeting was held at the Midway Fire Department to discuss safety in that area after dozens of fatal crashes.

The project wants to reimagine the corridor, which carries 23,000 people each day between Schenectady and Albany. The study that there are very few marked crosswalks. There are also concerns about speed and the safety of pedestrians and cyclists.
