TYLER, Texas (KLTV) – A Tyler man was sentenced Wednesday to 50 years in prison without parole after being found guilty of repeatedly sexually assaulting a child.

According to the Smith County District Attorney’s Office, Jorge Perez Sadierna, 37, of Tyler, remained “unmoved” when a jury sentenced him to 50 years in prison without the possibility of parole for various types of sexual abuse over several years of the two. victims, both under the age of 14.

Experts from the Tyler Children’s Advocacy Center were invited to testify and inform the jury about the different signs of child sexual abuse and the barriers that prevent victims from coming forward immediately after being abused.

The case was investigated by the Tyler Police Department and presided over by Judge Reeve Jackson.
