After the Bongo Bhashi Mahasabha Foundation issued a legal notice to The Great Indian Kapil Show, Salman Khan’s representative issued an official statement.

Kapil Sharma and his show The great Indian show Kapil on the OTT platform Netflix ran into legal trouble for allegedly disrespecting the legacy of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. There have been reports that Salman Khanhis production company was also linked to the show. On Wednesday, Salman Khan’s team issued an official statement to deny these rumors and stated that neither the actor nor his company is involved in the show. Salman Khan’s team issues a statement

According to a notification sent on behalf of Dr. Mondal, represented by legal counsel Nripendra Krishna Roy, claims that The Great Indian Kapil Show has disparaged the legacy of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore and risks offending cultural and religious sentiments. While rumors were rife about Salman Khan’s production house being served a legal notice, the company’s representative issued a clear statement denying any association with the Netflix series.

In statement – Salman Khan’s rep clarifies that we have no association with The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix. Certain sections of the media are reporting that Salman Khan / SKTV have also received the notification, which is incorrect as we are not associated with The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix.

The statement from Salman Khan’s team clarifies that the production house is no longer associated with any operation of the show airing on Netflix and is in no way affected by the legal notice.

Salman is currently busy shooting for his upcoming feature film Sikandar, which will be directed by AR Murgadoss. The makers of the film have stepped up security measures to ensure the actor’s protection amid death threats. The team is currently shooting at Hotel Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad. He also hosts Bigg Boss 18.
