SEVASTOPOL, November 13. /TASS/. A car exploded in Crimea’s Sevastopol, killing a serviceman inside, Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev said on his Telegram channel.

The circumstances of the car explosion

– The first reports of a fire in Sevastopol came at 9:53 local time (6:53 GMT).

– According to eyewitnesses, a car exploded and caught fire.

– Russian firefighters arrived at the scene at 9:59 local time (6:59 GMT).

Fatality

– A driver was inside the car. Rescuers managed to evacuate him immediately. Doctors rushed the man to the hospital, but were unable to save his life.

– The man killed in the incident turned out to be an active Russian military man.

Investigate

– The governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, did not rule out the possibility that the incident was the result of sabotage.

– He urged residents and visitors to the city to be vigilant and report any suspicious persons or objects.

– Russian investigators have opened a criminal case for terrorism and illegal circulation of explosives.

– According to them, the preliminary cause of the explosion was an explosive device attached to the bottom of the car.
