The ‘Last Waltz’ tour is coming to upstate New York, headlined by rock legends: last minute tickets

The “Life’s a Carnival: Last Waltz Tour ’24” will make two stops in upstate New York at the Proctors Theater in Schenectady, NY on Thursday, November 14th and the Kodak Center in Rochester, NY on November 15th.

This special tribute tour celebrates the music of the band and the late guitarist and songwriter Robbie Robertson. It will feature a strong lineup of musicians including Mike Campbell and Benmont Tench, founding members of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, who will be joined by Ryan Bingham, Jamey Johnson, Don Was, John Medeski, Dave Malone, Terence Higgins, Cyril. Neville and Mark Mullins and The Levee Horns.

For Campbell and Tench, it will be first tour together since Tom Petty’s death in 2017, although they have reunited for select shows, including supporting Bob Dylan at Farm Aid 2023.

This tour honors the band’s legendary 1976 farewell concert, “The Last Waltz,” filmed by Martin Scorsese and turned into a concert film. The original event, held at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco, featured guest performances by artists such as Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Muddy Waters and others.

Fans can expect to hear The Band’s classic songs like “The Weight,” “Up on Cripple Creek” and “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down.”
