Long before they make a White House sequel, now Donald Trump, twice president-elect made an appearance in another blockbuster.

It’s that time of year when Macaulay Culkin’s Home Alone series gets airtime.

And, yes, that’s future President Trump appearing alongside Macaulay Kulkin in “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.”

But in one market in particular, if you didn’t catch the initial release and early reruns of “Home Alone 2,” chances are you’ll never see Trump’s cameo.

Was Donald Trump home alone?

In theatrical release and television reruns, Donald Trump made a cameo appearance in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.

Trump, then 46, makes a brief cameo as himself when Kevin McCallisterplayed by Macaulay Culkingets lost in the Plaza Hotel.

As Kevin enters the grand lobby, he stops to ask Trump, now 78, for directions.

Trump, who owned the Plaza Hotel at the time, directs Kevin down the hall without much reaction. The scene is quick — about six or seven seconds — and Trump only said one line. Still, it became one of the most talked about moments in the film.

Rumors persisted that Trump essentially forced out the manufacturers to put it in the movie if they wanted to use it and shoot in the Trump Plaza Hotel.

Trump denied the harassment allegation in 2023.

At the time, Trump addressed his blink-and-you’ll-miss-it role in the 1992 comedy. in a long post on Truth Socialits social media platform.

“Director Chris Columbus and others have been begging me to make a cameo appearance in ‘Home Alone 2,'” Trump wrote. “They leased the Plaza Hotel in New York, which we owned at the time. I was very busy and didn’t want to do it. They were very nice, but above all, persistent. I agreed, and the rest is history!”

Who kicked Donald Trump out of Home Alone?

Donald Trump’s cameo in “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” remained untouched until the Canadian Broadcasting Company decided to edit Trump’s appearance in 2014.

CBC said it edited Trump’s cameo to fit the film into the available time frame.

Trump appears to have removed the edit and he often joked about it.

Macaulay Culkin was in favor Trump’s cameo is edited for political reasons, but apparently the cut only applied to CBC broadcasts.

Home Alone 2 reruns in the US market still include Donald Trump’s cameo.
