A pilot has died after being involved in a plane crash in the United Arab Emirates, the General Authority for Civil Aviation announced on Tuesday.

The victim was a flight instructor flying a training plane with a trainee on board. The body of the individual was found on the shore of Fujairah.

The rescue team continues to search for the trainee and the wreckage of the aircraft. Both the trainee and the instructor were of foreign nationalities.

The incident came to light when the aviation authority received a report of an accident involving a training aircraft. The aircraft lost radar contact approximately 20 minutes after takeoff.
