ESSEX, Md. — One man was fatally shot and two others were injured in a triple shooting Saturday afternoon in Essex, according to Baltimore County police.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired around 3:00 PM on November 9, 2024 in the 800 block of Bayner Road. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said Sunday. Authorities have not released further details about the identities of the victims or the circumstances leading up to the shooting.

According to police, the suspect fled the area following the shooting. Officials described the incident as isolated and said there is no ongoing threat to the public.
