Provenance enters the Society Hill dining scene with classic French cuisine in an elegant setting

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — The price tag for a 20-course tasting experience at Provenance is steep, but chef-owner Nicholas Bazik says it’s unique on the Philly food scene and ideal for special occasions.

Bazik chose the cuisine of French classics with Korean influences, in an ultramodern setting, for his first venture as an owner.

The longtime Philly chef says he approaches each night of work with joy and gratitude as he and his team present a two-nightly, reservation-only rotating menu.

Molteni’s custom-built stove is one of only nine thousand in the world and the only one in Philadelphia.

Seating options include the huge counter overlooking the kitchen, which allows guests to be a part of what’s happening, as well as a small private room centered around art and the wine cellar on the lower level.
