The victim was injured in a hammer attack near the Tulane campus, police said

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A hammer attack near Tulane University’s downtown campus left one victim injured Sunday night (Nov. 10), according to police.

The attack occurred around 5:50 p.m., when the victim reported being hit in the head with a hammer by one of the two assailants while walking near Duncan Plaza or behind the New Orleans Public Library on Loyola Avenue .

The identity of the attackers is currently unknown.
