Have you ever watched a movie where the sound of the action is so loud that you just can’t hear the dialogue?

Well, Sky has revealed a trick that specifically boosts the sound of dialogue.

It only works inside Amazon The Prime Video app, however, is extremely handy.

The feature was reported by a anonymous Sky employee who said: “This feature allows you to increase the volume of dialogue compared to background music and sound effects.”

It’s called Dialogue Boost and it only takes a few seconds to start.

All you have to do is upload Prime Video content to your Sky TV and then go to the Audio and Subtitles drop-down menu.

You can get this in the Movie Overview panel by pressing UP and then RIGHT.

The Sky employee notes: “Dialogue Boost levels are labeled: ‘English Dialogue Boost: Medium’ and ‘English Dialogue Boost: High.’

“The details page for a title will indicate if Dialogue Boost is available.”

Note that some titles may not support this option.

That way you can find it and once you do, press any button to cancel the beep.

Note that this won’t work if your remote has no battery, hasn’t been paired with that Sky box or is out of range.

Once you’ve found it again, you can do some clever tricks with its voice control feature.

For example, you can easily use voice control skip TV commercial breaks on the recorded content.

CAN’T GET VOICE CONTROL WORKING?

Here’s Sky’s official tips for fixing voice control…

If voice control doesn’t work, check your Sky Q remote for problems:

  1. Remove the battery cover from the Sky Q remote control body.
  2. Remove the batteries and insert them again, matching them + and signs.
  3. Once the batteries are in place, replace the cover by aligning the catch with the body of the remote control and sliding forward so that it snaps into place.

Presser Help (?) on the remote control to check if it has battery power:

  • If the LED lights up on the top of the remote flashed then press and hold Voice control button. If you don’t see the search screen, replace the batteries and press the voice control button again.
  • If the LED lights up on the top of the remote it doesn’t blink then check if the batteries are inserted correctly. If there are, replace them with new batteries. Press and hold Voice control button if you don’t see the search screen then pair the remote control.

Just note that if a film isn’t currently available on Sky TV, it won’t appear using this method – no matter how impressive the delivery of the offer.

One last trick worth trying is to track yourself hidden TV folder.

It seems that when recorded content is deleted, it doesn’t disappear immediately.

You can actually go into Sky’s Deleted folder and bring him back from the dead.

So if you regret deleting something, accidentally deleted a show, or had a rogue family member delete your favorite movie, you can go get it back.

Just go to the Recordings section of Sky Planner, then Manage > Deleted.

It’s also a handy trick to free up storage space, as this folder is where you can permanently delete content to reclaim reclaimed space.
