Cornell suspends fraternity amid investigation into reported sexual assault

Cornell University has temporarily suspended a fraternity near campus as authorities investigate a reported sexual assault.

The Cornell University Police Department (CUPD) says it received a report Friday from a victim alleging she was sexually assaulted by multiple people and forced to take ketamine and other drugs at a residence in the 100 block of Edgemoor Lane on 25 October or early October. 26.

CUPD urges anyone with information to contact the Cornell Public Safety Communications Center at (607) 255-1111.

In its alert, CUPD reiterated its position that victims are never to blame and reminded the community to use safety resources such as the RAVE Guardian app and to walk in groups when on or near campus.
