The film started on a great note on the post-Diwali day and registered an amazing opening weekend close to Rs 100 crore nett despite facing a capable film like Singham againand despite getting a smaller percentage of screens.

On opening day, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 it had about 40 percent of the screens while its opening rival Singham Again had 60 percent. Over time, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 started getting more and more features and now, for the first time in its run, after a week of patient waiting, it has most of the screens to play. In the second weekend, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is playing in 51 percent screens while Singham Again is playing in 49 percent screens.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has clearly become the first preference for Hindi movie exhibitors now. The horror-comedy is now expected to lead the action cop on a day-to-day basis for the rest of its run. At the time of writing (November 9), actor Ajay Devgn is directing Kartik Aaryan star vehicle with a margin of Rs 9 crore. The percentage will come down over the weekend and we may have the horror-comedy leading the third week.
