Zach Bryan shared a cryptic Instagram post about people wanting explanations in between Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPagliahis bomb claims of emotional abuse.

The 28-year-old country singer reposted a picture of the late author Jack Kerouac from his estate official Instagram account late Thursday, November 7, via Instagram story. The caption of the post quotes Kerouac’s famous novel, On the way.

“I didn’t know what to say. I wanted to cry, damn it, everyone in the world wants an explanation for your actions and your very being,” the quote reads.

Fans quickly took to the comment section of the post to speculate why Bryan shared it.

“ZACH BRYAN CLOSED HIS INSTA COMMENTS SO I CAME HERE ,” one person wrote.

Another said: “Maybe he doesn’t want to explain himself to the world, there are always two sides to every story. Yes, Brianna has every right to share hers, but he owes us nothing.”

Bryan’s post came just hours after LaPaglia accused him of being emotionally abusive to her during their year-long relationship as he spoke on Thursday’s episode of his co-star ‘BFFs’ podcast Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards.

Bryan announced his split from LaPaglia, 25, at the end of last month.

“It’s not just for me, it’s for anyone else who’s been emotionally abused, it’s for anyone now who’s been emotionally abused,” LaPaglia said on Thursday’s podcast. “It’s for people who don’t have a support system like I was fortunate enough to have (while going through this.”

“The last year of my life has been the hardest year of my life, dealing with this guy’s abuse,” she added. “I’m still scared of him, my brain is being rewired. I’m afraid to make him angry. Last week I didn’t want to talk about it because I was scared.”

LaPaglia also said she refused to sign an NDA for which she claimed Bryan, 28, offered her money in return.

“I said f— your money though. You made the women before me think they had no choice,” she claimed. “And to take money from you, to sign their experiences, to sign what they’ve been through, you can go jump and sing your little songs on stage like you’re a good guy.” (We weekly reached Bryan’s representatives Thursday for comment on LaPaglia’s claims, but did not immediately hear back.)
