Natchitoches police arrest suspects for possession of stolen gun, illegal narcotics

NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB) – A Natchitoches man and two juveniles were arrested for possession of a stolen gun and illegal drugs, according to the Natchitoches Police Department.

The NDP said on Nov. 1, around 11:50 p.m., officers conducting a Uniformed Tactical Operation were advised of illegal activity at a restaurant in the 400 block of Keyser Avenue.

The NDP told its officers located Jalon Blake18, a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old in a vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed two firearms and 19 grams of marijuana. One of the recovered firearms was reported stolen through Rapides Parish.

Blake was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The 16-year-old was arrested for illegal possession of a weapon.

The 15-year-old was arrested for unlawful possession of a handgun, unlawful possession of a stolen firearm, possession of marijuana, and possession of a firearm or carrying a concealed weapon by a person convicted of certain crimes.

*Uniform Tactical Operations are grant-funded, selective enforcement operations aimed at disrupting quality-of-life violations, open-air narcotics, and gun-related crimes in Natchitoches communities.
