SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawai’i (Nov. 7, 2024) — Local Army units are scheduled to conduct routine training activities in November that can be heard by surrounding communities.

Training can take place during the day and at night and can be modified. Weather such as cloudy conditions and Kona (south) winds can increase noise and vibration. If people hear noise, there is no immediate danger.

To report noise or training concerns, contact the NEW US Army Hawai’i Community Concern Line at (808) 787-1528 or [email protected]. Concerns are answered during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

For community awareness, the training is as follows:

Live fire artillery and mortar training at Schofield Barracks

(Day and Night Live Fire, including late evening and early morning):

6 in the morning – 2 in the morning

Schofield Barracks Demolition Training: 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m

Eastern Range: Aviation Training: Daily only

The Army appreciates the understanding and continued support of the local community. Although sometimes noisy, this training is essential to ensure that military units and service members are ready to accomplish their mission and return home safely.

The military develops this program monthly to alert neighbors to upcoming training activities, which are louder and can be heard outside the military installation. This schedule is subject to change and does not include all Army Aviation/Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) activities or East Range (between Wahiawa and Mililani Mauka) training activities. To receive Army training notices directly, email [email protected] with “Subscribe Training” in the subject line.
