Deputies initially pulled over Carroll and Timothy Scott in a car for a traffic stop near the intersection of Piney Green Road and Rocky Run Road on Oct. 30.

Deputies say Scott, the passenger in the car was arrested on drug trafficking charges after quantities of fentanyl were found to be trafficked that day.

Carroll, of Jacksonville, faces the following charges:

  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

He is in the Onslow County Jail on $85,000 bond. The sheriff’s office says his first court appearance was yesterday and his next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 5.
